Meet the Hosts

Caleb Siefert
Dr. Caleb Siefert has provided psychotherapy and personality assessment for over two decades. After completing his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Adelphi University, he finished his internship and postdoctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Currently, he is a professor at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where he serves as director of the Graduate Clinical Health Psychology Program. He is also the director of the Interpersonal Relationships, Emotions, and Personality Lab, which studies the intersections between self-defining memories, personality and attachment, and emotion regulation. He is particularly interested in how the personal stories we have about key events in our lives shape our identity, relationships, resilience, and sense of purpose. Recently, his research has focused on developing artificial intelligence applications for narrative research.

Krista Foley-Siefert
Krista Foley-Siefert spent a decade as a School Psychologist, specializing in behavioral and learning assessment as well as education reform. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she joined the Great Resignation, transitioning into consulting as a parent advocate. Leveraging her expertise in systems change, she eventually pivoted to her current role as Director of Operations for an innovation accelerator in Detroit. She also serves as an Advisory Board Member for SXSW Pitch.

Mondo
Mondo, Krista and Caleb's 14-year-old Shepherd-Collie mix, may not have a microphone, but he definitely adds his own flair to the podcast. While they talk, he’s often in the background, making cameo appearances with his signature snores or occasional barking—because, of course, someone has to keep them in check! His laid-back presence is a gentle reminder to enjoy the moment, making him the unofficial mascot of the show.
